Night Rhythms of the Earth

Night Rhythms of the Earth I feel you.

I hear you purr, or the oceans roar.

You lull me into sleep as I sway side to side.

You pull me into dreams,

 with the Rhythmic beat of your heart.

I find peace in your beauty.

And, I rest in the comfort of your Rhythms.

Mother Earth ask where have the bees gone?

I tell her I do not know.

Mother Earth tells me,

what will I tell the flowers?

and I tell her I do not know.

I ask Mother Earth,

where have all the colors gone?

 and she tells me,

I do not know.

Rose Color of the Evening

The rose color of the evening

sweeps the land,

with hues of pink, peach, and mauve

as night approaches.

Blue, Indigo, and violet cover

the hillsides. 

The land sleeps while we dream of a new day.
